Tokyo ghoul is now on crunchyroll (no english dub or sub for season 1 yet) at least in the us for the english dub, it seems to be uncensored as far as i know. The series is produced by pierrot, and is directed by odahiro watanabe. However, when the torture is complete and yamori moves forward to devour kaneki, the latter is magically able to break free, lift the chair and attack yamori.

Funimation and hulu have tokyo ghoul in the us. I really want to read the manga without having to buy the whole set (cause it costs like $100 and i. Crunchyroll's announcement seems vague, funimation's side of the announcement was much clearer and said in the coming weeks, but funimation still has many subbed shows that are supposedly coming to crunchyroll.
